RONALD CORKERN

Mr. Corkern’s practice principally involves mediation, tort litigation, section 1983 litigation, and products liability litigation. He received his law degree in 1975 form Louisiana State University. While in law school he was selected to participate on the Moot Court. He is a fellow of American College of Trial Lawyers and American Board of trial advocates. He is listed by SuperLawyers as having obtained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement in the area of personal injury litigation.   He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubble. Mr. Corkern is also engaged in the practice of mediations and performs mediation services throughout Louisiana. He is a member of the Natchitoches Bar Association, the Louisiana state Bar Association, and the North Louisiana Federal Bar association.  Ronald provides mediation services through Upstate Mediation, LLC.

J. CHRIS GUILLET

Chris Guillet has practiced law since 1999.  Before becoming a lawyer, he worked for several years in the real estate industry in Dallas, Texas, handling land acquisitions through the Southeast for Fairfield Residential, Inc.   Chris mediates all types of cases, including personal injury, commercial, construction, casualty, and successions, among others.  In 2023, he was appointed by the Western District of Louisiana to mediate cases arising from Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles.

 

Chris formerly practiced with the Lake Charles, Louisiana law firm of Scofield, Gerard, Veron, Singletary & Pohorelsky from 1999 through March 2005. In April 2005, Chris returned to Natchitoches, where he maintained a solo practice until he joined the current firm in May 2007.  Chris has tried civil and criminal cases at all levels of the Louisiana federal and state court system, including numerous jury trials, appeals, and cases before the Louisiana Supreme Court. Chris’ local practice focuses largely on the needs of individuals and small businesses. In addition, he serves as general and local counsel for numerous larger business clients, including utility companies, manufacturers and government entities.

KAY STOTHART RECTOR

Kay Stothart Rector is a Certified Civil and Family Mediator with a wealth of experience as a family law practitioner and domestic Hearing Officer. Randall B. Keiser is a native of Central Louisiana native and a practicing attorney for 30 years, Randall is a graduate of the Northeast Louisiana University School of Pharmacy and is a registered pharmacist.
